Up ahead, before the bridge entrance, a green and scaly lizard humanoid walks out to prevent your passing over the bridge. The Lizardfolk stands in your way, swaying its upper body, shield down, weapon sheathed, while it’s snakish tongue licks her face. She is the guardian of this bridge and demands payment to cross it. In her raspy, hissing voice, she states in common, “Nos payzzz, ansssswerzzz myssstery.”

“You desire me in public, yet fear me in private. What am I?” She smirks in delight at your confused expression.
